All of us visit a website every day, but very few of us know, how to make a website. So, how this system works? I will explain you everything in short.
Things You Need to Start A Website:
- Web Hosting
Q.)What is a Domain?
A domain is the name of the website. For example, our website domain is IGNTimes.com. Facebook’s domain is Facebook.com
Q.)How to buy a domain?
You can buy a domain name for as each as 1$ per year (If you use a coupon, which you can find easily). Some popular domain websites are: GoDaddy.com, Domain.com, Namecheap.com
Remember, Domain is just the name of the website, that’s all! Nothing more than that.
Q.) What is Web Hosting?
Web Hosting is where you keep all your website files. You will get 4 things after buying Web Hosting:
- FTP Server
- Your Hosting IP
You can even open a website without a domain. All you need to do is, insert your Hosting IP in the address bar. But remembering an IP is not good. So you link your Domain name and IP. You will get an option to link your Domain and IP in the website admin panel, from where you brought the Domain name. After you link the domain and IP. If you type the domain name in the web address, it will open files kept in that IP.
Q.) How to access Web Hosting And Put Files in it?
You need 3 things to access your Web Hosting or any web hosting, including Google’s (Haha).
- FTP Server Name
You need a software to access web hosting. Many Web hosting providers give you a login page, where you can insert FTP server name, Username and Password to login. If your hosting did not provide you that, then you can use a software or some websites to do so.
I recommend Filezilla software, as it is safe.
After you log in, you will see a folder named “Public HTML”, just put all your website files inside it.
How to Code A Website?
How to Make A Website Without Coding Skills?
